Title: Food Poisoning...
Post by: Miss Molly on February 17, 2006, 07:27:02 PM
Can you get it from shrimp that hasn't been cooked thoroughly?  Not totally raw, but not totally done, either.

Please let me know soon so I can go throw up before it's too late...

I don't know.  Swimmy foods are gross.

depends on how fresh it is.  some people eat shrimp raw right from the sea (like my best friends family who are filipino)

you're probably going to be ok.

well it was in the freezer in a little pouch, like it came with one of those frozen stir fry meals but wasn't used.  i mackerwaved it for 2 minutes to thaw it out.  it was the color of cooked shrimp, but a little squishier than fully cooked.

hey..i was desperate.

I'm just shooting in the dark here, but isn't most food that comes in frozen stir fry meals pre-cooked then frozen?  You'll probably be all right.
