I have a certain episode of Family Guy that I want to make a little two-second looping gif out of. (The one where Lois says "me likey bouncey me likey bouncey".) Is there any decent free software that can do this?
I've used the Microsoft Gif Animator before with sucess:

Go here to download the program:

I use this when I get the urge to create one:

It has lots of features, but it isn't the most user-friendly. You used to be able to use it for a free trial with the only limitation being that it puts a comment in the GIF header. It's pretty cheap if you decide to buy it, too.

That is the very first application that made animated GIFs. I remember downloading it in 93 or 94...

Bwahahahahaha!
I bet you used Prodigy, didn't you?
Maybe some of the ads above this thread could help. They all say "free gif animator" and stuff.

Dad had a Prodigy account, which I used on the weekend visits. At home, I dialled in through Purdue.

I think I bought it in '99 for $15. Every upgrade since has been free.
