Title: Hey DJ Beef
Post by: Jessie on December 15, 2005, 07:20:17 PM
So Jason gave me an old computer a while back with a cd burner and I just bought some cheap cds to try it out.

I'm sifting through the several gigs of music on my computer to put something together.

Did you send me Air - Run?  This song is really...I can't put my finger on it...with headphones on.  It is enrapturing???  That's not the right word.

Anyway, so far the first disc is going to have:

Frontier Psychiatrist (I love that song and can't wait to listen to it full blast in the car)
The Used - The Taste of Ink
New Pornographers - Slow Descent into Alcoholism
Polyphonic Spree - Section 12 (Hold Me Now)

I guess those names are right, I'm going by file names on a bunch of songs that I don't really know.

Any other suggestions that will go with what I've got so far?

I've downloaded too much music without really registering what it is.  I think I really like The Used.  I'm listening to Buried Myself Alive now.  I think that shall also go on the disc.

i've been so stressed today and I think that a night of sitting with headphones on and music blasting is just what I need.

That and talking to mysel fin this thread.

I don't like that Mr. Brightside song but I like this one.  On Top.  I didn't realize that this was The Killers.  However, I hear this on the radio (or somewhere because it is familiar) so it will not be going on the cd.

Hi dots.  Do you know these songs that I'm talking about?

Fountains of Wayne?  Where the hell did that come from?  Gamp?

I have so much music on here that I don't even know about.

Music is so different through headphones.  I think I'll always use headphones from now on.

I had no idea that I had Velvet Revolver on here.  Love them, but it doesn't match this cd.

I really don't know what you are talking about...I am so tired that nothing makes sense.  I guess I should go upstairs and get in the bed.

I am almost that tired, too.

Wow, I may have enough of The Used to give them their own cd.  I don't even know who they are, really.

I don't think I have any of The Used.  The Duck Song has been in the Dump twice and I have deleted it twice.  Someone has to delete something in there every now and again.

I have 4 of their songs that I've found so far.  I have no idea where I got them.

I'll have to get the duck song another time.  Tonight, even downloading music is too stressful for me.  I am totally chillin'.

Oooh Handsome Boy Modeling School.

Do you think they fit with the rest?  Or are they too mellow?

I'd say that's a different fit.  Do you have your Yahoo IM or AIM up?

Yahoo's up.  I'm in the mood for upbeat music, but not necessarily happy music.  I'm listening to First...and Then now.

I'm rather preferential to Something Corporate... like New Found Glory but less whiny and more melodic.  Plus they have a piano.

A few years ago I made a "car tape" of songs I liked at the time.  It's sort of set up like a cover band concert, so I could sing along with what was in there without having to listen to a bunch of loud songs all at once.  You could probably make two decent CDs out of this.

HBO Feature Presentation
Billy Joel - Angry Young Man
Alien Ant Farm - Movies
New Found Glory - Dressed to Kill
Eve 6 - Rescue
Jewel - Rocker Girl
Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
Jimmy Eat World - Sweetness
Moonpools and Caterpillars - Cool
Moonpools and Caterpillars - Polyester
Moonpools and Caterpillars - Hear
Counting Crows - A Murder of One
Love Hina - Naru's Idol Song
Love Hina - Love Hina Again Theme
Better Than Ezra - Misunderstood
Better Than Ezra - Extraordinary
Soul Coughing - Soft Serve
Better Than Ezra - King of New Orleans
Counting Crows - Hard Candy
Counting Crows - New Frontier
Counting Crows - Mrs Potter's Lullaby
Buffalo Tom - Tangerine
Voltaire - G-d Thinks
Len - Feelin' Alright
Billy Joel - Avalon
New Found Glory - Hit Or Miss
Overclocked - Little Mac's Lament
New Found Glory - My Friend's Over You
New Found Glory - It's Been A Summer
Buffalo Tom - Summer
Billy Joel - Summer Highland Falls
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
