so, i don't know how you feel about ms. kidman - to me, i find her looks overrated and i don't think she can act her way out of a sack with both ends cut open.

i was very annoyed today when i heard that she will be portraying diane arbus in an upcoming biographic film about the photographer.

however, this annoyance was offset when i found, completely unrelated to the arbus film, a blog featuring this picture of ms. kidman in, shall we say, an earlier incarnation way back in 1991:

I don't have a problem with her. I agree the hype has been a bit too much for roles that didn't deserve them, but I also feel she hasn't gotten credit for the ones where she excelled (The Portait of a Lady is a good example). Bewitched looks as atrocious as Stepford Wives did, but I forgive her because even if she's tepid she's at least willing to keep expanding her artistic side by acting in risky pictures and roles. That's same reason I can't hate Brad Pitt - he could just slide by on being Brad Pitt, but he hasn't.

I think she has gotten more beautiful as she ages. Her acting is meh. Has she ever done a comedy?

I saw Eyes Wide Shut opening night. There was a reason Kubrick died before it opened.

While obviously not Shakespeare, this isn't as bad as I had imagined. The "lick my face" line made me chuckle.
