I need to update my video card to view a new program I have.
SOMEONE HELP ME!
I'll fill in the details to my saviour, I'm not even sure what they are at the moment.
You are screwed.
/got nothing.
Update your video card? Do you mean install the latest drivers for Windows that support your video card?
The help desk says this:

If you think your system meets the minimum requirements, but you are still having problems, try downloading and installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.
Drivers for ATI video cards can be downloaded from http://www.ati.com/
Drivers for NVIDIA video cards can be downloaded from http://www.nvidia.com/
How do I know what kind of video card I have?
Right click anywhere on your desktop (that's not got a program icon) and select Properties.
In the Properties box, go to the Settings Tab and click the Advanced button. It should tell you there.

Umm... Yes it does...
The title bar of the dialog box says - Rage 128 Pro AGP. I believe that is an ATI brand card.
Ah- then I'll rephrase.
It doesn't say in a language I understand. ;D
What version of Windows are you running?
Assuming you are running Windows XP and have DirectX 8.1 or higher installed, download and install this file - https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/WXPR1286133279.exe
If you don't know what version of DirectX you are running do Start-Run and type DXDIAG in the box and click the OK button. A screen will open telling you what version of DirectX you have installed.
I have XP Professional and DirectX 9... that should work.
You should be good to download and install the file I linked.
I tried that DL (btw- that link doesn't work) But I got that file. When I tried to install, I got an error saying that something wasn't compatible. I'll get the exact error if you need it.
"the display driver is not compatible with the display adapter"
?

The drivers for Windows XP on this page should install. If not, then I don't know what to tell you.
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBList.asp?folderID=306
It won't let me link?
Go here: https://support.ati.com/
And click on Drivers and Software
Click on Windows XP Drivers and Software
Click on RAGE
That's the page I tried to link directly to.
There are several things to download- which one is the one I want?

:hit:
There are no newer drivers for that card from ATI than what came with Windows XP, I believe.
What are you trying to use?
I think that your problem is your color scheme. How the heck can you stand that hot pink highlight?
What is the program? If you have the box, does it say on it what the system requirments are?
I think the problem is that you only have 16 megs of video memory. That is very low, the program might require more than that.
