A friend of mine says that the showerheads at Holiday Inn Express are the best. They even offer them for sale.

If this is true- then I really want one. Anybody want to give me one for Christmas?
My showerhead sucks, but when I went to remove it, it was caulked on when they screwed it in. I couldn't get it off. I need a big wrench.

I have one of those rainshower shower heads. It probably wastes so much more water than necessary, but man do I enjoy it.

Are you sure it was caulked on? Most showerheads have a small rubberish ring that you place over the threads before screwing on to help ensure a tight seal. It can make it a righteous pain in the tuckus to unscrew, but it is possible.
It can also be a righteous pain to peel the rubber ring off the threads.
It looked more like caulk, but I dunno.
I just bought a rainforest showerhead...you can get a nice inexpensive on from QVC (yeah the home shopping network) or on Overtock...I paid 25 (shipping included) for mine.

you peoples are being complicated. go stay at the hotel. take a good look at the showerhead, go to lowes and find a replacement by look, take it off, take off theirs, add the one from lowes. and voila... there you go. is it really stealing if you just downgrade them?

That requires an extra $80 or so for a night at the hotel.

then hopefully you have an illicit relationship where you need the hotel, let her / him pay for it, then take it. that way they get blamed not you.
HEY, im just tryin to help. I cant plan all angles.

I don't. But if I'm paying $80 for a showerhead, I better be able to get some good range out of it.
I thought that said $8. I was all, damn, buy it already.

I'm really glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking that.
My aunt's shower at her new house came with two heads, one mounted to the wall, the other attached to a hose for cleaning the hard-to-reach bits. There's a complicated switching system that I couldn't figure out the one time I had to borrow her bathroom.

I got some $$ from my mom and dad for Christmas. Since the showerhead Ursus' mom doesn't work on our plumbing (not sure why, but it won't stay on) I'm going to buy this showerhead. yay!
$80? That better be a golden shower... head.
i am not saying this to be a downer on this experience, but you can, i'm sure, buy the showerhead that does the same thing somewhere besides the holiday inn site and save at least 40%.
also - the reason that showers feel the way they do at hotels is that the hotel pays for hellawater pressure. if you don't have good water pressure in your home, the showerhead is going to make only so much difference.
you can get what you want for less money and also make sure that it does what you want it to do.
THANKS NISHI!!!
pop everyones already thin skinned bubble.. :D
I need to find these hotels that have hella water pressure. It seems like most of the newer ones I've stayed in lately have been skimping on the water pressure. I stayed in a brand new Comfort Suites when I went to Illinois last month and the lack of water pressure in the shower was astounding. I figured that they were just trying to be environmentally friendly.

I've stayed in a few hotels that needed a powerwasher in the bathroom. Because of that I always check the bathroom before I'll stay in a room.
