Title: I've been looking up baseball cards online
Post by: ignom on September 06, 2005, 08:32:17 PM
But I'm bored with it.

Here's some of what I've run across in my dad's collection:

Nolan Ryan California Angels #20 (There is a sticker on the plastic sleeve that says $20 from whenever)

Bob Uecker

Reggie Jackson Oakland As #500

Various rookie cards for Ron Gant, Jeff Treadway, John Smoltz, Dave Justice, Frank Viola, Tyler Houston,

Some card for Joe Garagiola

Signed rookie cards for Terry Pendleton, Brett Butler, Don Zimmer, Tommy Lasorda, Tom Glavine, others

An Alex Cole Topps Stadium Club card with a sticker on the sleeve that says $15.

Ryne Sandberg Topps Cubs card that has a sticker on the sleeve for $52.

A Michael Jordan baseball card.

A bunch of unopened packs of Series I, II, III regular stadium cards.

A shitload of cards and other stuff that I'm tired of going through.

My dad must have had a crush on Ron Gant, because there is one bag with 50 of his baseball cards in plastic sleeves.

I don't know anything about baseball cards, except they don't seem to sell well on ebay.

I have a couple of Pete Rose cards in here, too.

Your best bet is to bundle the collection together, listing each card and it's condition, for sale on EBay. The collectors will spot the valuable cards and price the collection appropriately.

I think you'd have better luck selling them at a memorabilia shop.  I know I spelled that wrong.

Got any football cards you wanna unload?  I'm a pretty avid football card collector despite the fact that Red Grange died.  ;)

Whoever asked about the 1987 cards, they collectively aren't worth much more than a few bucks at best.

I was only looking at eBay because I thought I might be able to put something up for the junto charity auctions.

No football that I've noticed. There are some basketball and hockey cards though, but I no more than a handfull.

There are also some Desert Storm trading cards.

I have some Star Wars cards, had some original Garbage Pale cards, and even once had some porn star trading cards which I gave to my dad as a gag gift.  My collection is about 95% football with a few of the other sports thrown in.
