Is it even possible to improve on the first one?

I don't see how.
sequels to 20 yr old movies or redoing movies that have been made several times is Hollywoods way of telling us thier writers suck ass.
Cant come up with any new concepts for movies so 1) they dig into the past to see what they can redo 2) they see what crappy movies they can write sequels to. movies that never had a audience in the first place 3) the fact they are buying up rights to comic books and turning them into movies.
The ebst thing is 3 because technology has finally evolved to where the comic writers imagination can finally be put to film. and comics are the last true original storylines left.
I thought it was ok like it was.
Of all the movies I've ever seen, that was one of them...

There aree some movies from that period I liked more. As I recall they showed that one about every other night at about 12:30a on HBO. It kept me from true boredom...
