I hope having the kids along this time doesn't make it horrible to watch.

I thought the fact that it was 'The Amazing Race' is what made it horrible to watch.

I like the Amazing Race - it's like a superfast glimpse of areas of the world that I'm never going to visit.

I was going to watch the raccoon testicle movie that was much discussed on Fark today but I'm opting for indie horror instead.

And, to be fair, I've never watched The Amazing Race.  It just gets lumped in with all of the other reality TV in my head.  I'm sure that one or two of those shows are probably worth watching, but as with all pop culture, it's the shallow and obnoxious ones that people cling to that ruin it for the legitimately good ones.

And it's 'Japanese', not 'japenese'.  Say what you want about Texas, but I done learned how to spell purty good down 'ere.

I grounded two of my kids in Walmart tonight.  Next time they'll do what I tell them to.

Won't they?

Grounded at the Wal-Mart?  Novalee could probably use the company.

A man can say "stop bending your brother" only so many times.

You should try being a woman.  I never tire of saying that.

Women are too hard to assemble.  I would never be able to figure out where all of the straps and cables go.

You have what, 3 kids? I'd have thought you'd be an expert in figuring out the straps and cables.

Just like any other guy, I am very good at taking stuff apart.  Putting it all back together again is a totally different story.

You should try being a woman.  We can take stuff apart and put it back together again.  And without those pesky extra parts, too.

I know all about the extra parts.

I don't know what they're for either.  Just throw 'em away and cross your fingers.

No, no, no...you put them in a big bowl and put it on the microwave and leave it there until your wife gets all pissed off because there's a bowl of leftover parts on the microwave.

But you have to keep them in case the brakes stop working.

My wife doesn't cook, so a big bowl of parts would be safe in the microwave.

Mine doesn't either.  Looks like along with the Eastern time zone we have two things in common.

You know, I could really easily develop a "thing" for Alicia Silverstone.  Mercy.

I went through that phase a few years back.  I saw her on Oprah about a year or two ago when she was promo-ing her situational drama(I think it got cancelled) and WOW!!  She was looking spectacular!  Vegan works for her.
