Random question....does anyone listen to the radio anymore?
For the most part I just listen to CD's and count on my friends for new music suggestions. I got so sick of listening for an hour and hearing the same 4 songs and the same 60 commericals. I was just wondering what's going on on the radio. If you do listen, is it a "Top 40" station or another kind? Any new music worth picking up?
I totally rely on Junto for all of my new music suggestions, and it has been wonderful. My horizons have been broadened so much from the suggestions and from what has been placed in the music dump.
I listen to the morning show. I'm only in the car for like 10 minutes a day. The new Weezer is good. It's in the music dump.
I listen to what is evidently an "alternative rock" station out of Kansas City. They play a wide variety of music, which suits my tastes, and not too many commercials.
I just can't stand the morning show so I don't listen to that.
I used to listen to CDs on the computer at work, but since I'm STILL FUCKING UNEMPLOYED I usually compute in silence.
I listen to the oldies station and the rock station...
I am digging the new Gorillaz right now.
I listen to NPR's Morning Edition on the way to work, Fresh Air at lunch, and All Things Considered on the way home.
I'm not very much in tune with the current music scene.
I listen to quite a bit of top 40. you're not missing much.
I occasionally pull out the CD or MP3 player and go FM. I browse around and hope something good is on. I hang around a local alternative station mostly, but there's also a station run by HS students that has interesting stuff. I also stop for classic rock, funk, disco, and almost anything from the 80s. Indianapolis doesn't have a completely destroyed radio market ... yet. GO F_CK YOURSELF CLEAR CHANNEL
I mostly listen to the only independent station left in these parts, WRNR. Great station. What you hear depends on which dj is on the mike. They stream online. http://www.wrnr.com
I listen to the radio a lot, as I have a long commute.
I listen to all of the stations and almost every genre. I just flip around and stop when something tickles my fancy.

I'll be the editor! I actually considered that as a career at one time. And now I can't tell if I spelled career right. I might need to invest in one of those books with all the words in it.

I'm with Ignom. I checked out of the pop scene in the late '70s/early 80's. Plus, I listen to too much NPR.
AND WHEN SHE SHINES SHE REALLY SHOWS YOU ALL SHE CAN!
