Is there a good FREE fax software out there that I can use to send faxes from my computer?
I thought Microsoft XP had something built in.
Where would I find that?

Heh. It wants the disk. So do I...
Open Windows Explorer (Start-Programs-Accessories-Windows Explorer) and see if the there is a directory C:\WINNT\CABS or C:\WINDOWS\CABS or C:\Something or other\CABS. That's usually where the Windows CD is copied to.
If it does exist, when the setup asks for the CD, hit browse and browse to the CABS directory.

I'm sure the disk exists somewhere. Probably at the home of the dough head who put this computer together for me. And that was probably a purloined copy too.

Most people who use purloined copies of Windows CDs copy them to a CABS directory on the hard drive.

I'll check it out, but as both DC and Hatt can attest, my computer was built by a complete idiot. I wouldn't be surprised if the thing spontaneously combusts one of these days.

You can only click the button once for each person for some sort of period of time before you can click them again. But I clicked your button bunches.
