There's a stretch of sidewalk where I walk the Duds each morning where there are now flying critters who apparently take great exception to any other living creature being anywhere near the area. I want to assume they are birds, though they move so fast I can't tell. They move more like bats, but we don't traditionally have bats around here. In any case, it is now a daily routine to have drag Dudley, who is lower to the ground and oblivious to these winged creatures, across this stretch of sidewalk as quickly as I can to get the hell out of the way of these attacks.
They don't land or touch you in any way, they just zip by your head, close and fast, repeatedly.
Very annoying.
Where's Lou Diamond Phillips when you need him?
he's been here, posing for pictures with his shirt off, or almost off. (http://devoted.to/loudiamondphillips)
Maybe they're ospreys. Are they really huge and nasty?

Take a raquet with you.
Even better- one of those electrified raquets that they have now to kill bugs.
Midnight would drag me everywhere chasing those things. She chases anything.
