Saw it today with Kate. Similar in topic to "March of the Penguins" but broader in scope. Really quite breathtaking.
It got a bit old though, "circle of life" stories that eventually all ended up the same- "See this cute little animal? Here's the BIGGER animal that's going to kill it! Oops- almost got away that time!"
Good discussion points- Kate was distraught over the cute little fluffy things getting killed by the big mean predators, but had no reaction to the little fish getting killed by predator fish. I asked why she didn't feel bad for the little fish and she looked puzzled, then said "I don't know."
Not recommended for younger children or for the faint of heart. No blood, but it's all implied.
It's funny that this exists now. Disney used to crank out one of these a month in the 50s and 60s.
This is actually a continuation of a series Disney did recently I guess.
I remember the old Disney stuff. And the Wild Kingdom stuff. (Go get it Jim!)
