Binkies were allowed in my house, but nobody ever figured out how to use them. Maybe it's better that the bat gets them.
He's so CUTE! But he's also quite large. I'm used to the tiny bats we have around here.

He looks so soft and cuddly though.
well, he is an australian flying fox - a kind of bat, but one of the largest kinds. a macro-somethingorother. the ones we usually have here are micro-somethingorothers. apparently there's one that weighs as much as a nickle on the micro end.
but those are some cute damn bats.
I had heard that keeping bats as pets was unadvisable.

here in the US i think it's illegal. but those pictures are from a bat rescue operation in australia. the babies are ones whose mothers have been killed. some are released into the wild when they're old enough. some are too injured (by whatever also happened to the mother), and become part of the public exhibit at the rehab center.
