I never thought of Springsteen as pretentious before but hearing him refer to himself not only in the third person, but by his nickname in third person, I'm a little barfy.  That's just pathetic.  Any man, but especially one of his age and accomplishment, should have the decency to speak in a way befitting someone of his age and cultural stature.

Doesn't anyone watch the superbowl (and yes, i'm saying it, motherfuckers: superbowl superbowl, sue me) for, you know, the FOOTBALL?  What the fuck is happening to us?

That's what I watch it for.  Especially when they pick crappy has-beens to sing the half time show.
