Title: Songs with hidden meanings
Post by: Jessie on May 27, 2005, 11:28:15 AM
My sister in law thinks that this:

Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat me a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat a lot of peaches

is about sex, but that this:

Without the pretty pink ribbon
You'd end up just like me
Without the pretty pink ribbon
You'd fload down to the sea

Without the pretty pink ribbon
You'd say just what you pleased
Without the sticky little kitten
You're ticket could never be free

is about breast cancer...

I heard that Puff the Magic Dragon isn't really about a boy and his friend.

I think the song "Wipeout" by the Safaris is really about the decay of Western civilization due to the development of the military-industrial complex.

Is Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams really that lewd?  nothing in the song or about his other songs would lead me to believe he made something so overtly sexual.

Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" is an ode to Bish's favorite activity, if you believe some.
