Ever had 'em?
No, not for a snack, as a pet you sickos.
Tips, secrets, or stories to share?
Don't put them in your ass.

I'm in love!!!
i know!! hairless guinea pigs are precious, aren't they???
but you'd have to knit them sweaters.
i hate to say this, but no one knows more about guinea pigs than madame m. on tfark. she has a zillion pigs and has had for quite a while. if you need to know anything about guinea pigs - ask her.

she is a complete and utter bitch, and i mean that in the nicest possible way. however, she is great with guinea pigs and - as i understand it - is nice to people who have questions about them. especially if you want to make sure that you get healthy ones and want to know how to take care of them properly.

I will keep that in mind when the time comes, thanks :)
My grandparents had one named Elizabeth when I was a kid.
I've been reading tons about them too.
I can't wait to get a couple of them.
madame and her husband have an enormous guinea pig installation - the thing is huge. it looks like it takes up most of a room. also, she lives just across the river and would be able to tell you the best place around here to get them.

Clearly you are not familiar with traditional Andean cooking. And no I'm not kidding. Imagine a Hawaiian luau, only instead of a pig, it's a llama (llama llama duck) stuffed with a goat that is stuffed full of guinea pigs.

there is a painting of the last supper. this dinner is completed with a platter of roasted guinea pigs. and no, i'm not kidding. i would have taken a picture, but photography is not allowed in the basilica.
the dish is called "cuy", and this site mentions the painting i'm talking about AND HAS A PICTURE OF A ROASTED GUINEA PIG. DO NOT CLICK ON THIS LINK AND THEN FREAK OUT....

Remeber a while back I posted the pic of roasted guinea pigs from Mt. Everest or somewhere.
They really don't look meaty enough for much of a meal.
Great. Now I'm hungry.

Can you flush them down the toilet when they die?
I wonder how they made it to "family pet" status here.
