Title: Stupid firefox memory issue
Post by: Jessie on April 08, 2008, 08:37:27 PM
2.0.0.13 was kicking my computer's ass, using about 4x the memory it should.

I just installed Firefox 3 beta 5, and Yow!  It's lightning fast.  I love it.

AdBlock Plus and Tabmix Plus arent supported yet, so you will get a few popups here and there.  So that kind of sucks.

it's a moving target right now for addon developers, but there's a good chance you'll find an addon has been updated in development or beta releases.

http://adblockplus.org/devbuilds/ then click  "adblockplus-0.7.5.3+.2008040612-en-US.xpi".  You'll get a warning, just add adblockplus.org to the whitelist of sites allowed to install extensions.

When the Firefox 3 release is ready, they're almost certain to wait a few days for the most popular addons to get updated.
