3/4 c. soft butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and molasses; beat well. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill. Shape into 1" balls and roll in 1/4 cup sugar to coat. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 13 minutes.

Me either. When I was pregnant last year, I was HORRIBLY sick. I did everything but liquify ginger and inject it directly into my veins and it didn't help at all.
I was *this close* too shooting the next person who suggested that I eat a cracker.

I like ginger snaps. Especially when they have a lot of ginger, which gives them extra kick.

If you're ever on a boat and start feeling sea sick, gingersnaps are supposed to get rid of the sea sick blues. I haven't had the chance to try it out though; it's just what I've heard around the docks.
