Goosey got "tutored" today.
Poor thing. He's still kind of stumbly and sad. :(
I'm hoping though, that now he'll stop trying to hump China's head.
Did I already tell the story about that?
Her head looks pre-humped to me.

Not that I recall.
Which aminal is Goosey? And which is China?
Goosey = Xoos = Zeus = the German Shepherd
China = Great Dane
He tends to try and hump her head, instead of the other end. Kate asked one day if that was how dogs made babies. I said "No honey, he's just not that bright and is doing it wrong."
A week or so later, he was at it again, and she yelled "Dammit Zeus! Get off her! You're doin' it wrong!"
My little sailor.
My dog was snipped. He still humps things.

Great. ::) China's going to be very disappointed.
Bruce's head comes up to the bottom of his sister's belly. He always mounts her from the side and then humps the air underneath her. It's the funniest damn thing I've ever seen. Though now I wonder why I bothered spending that money to get him neutered when he wouldn't be able to get a girl dog pregnant anyway.
Dog from Mars!
Dog from Mars!
They didn't give him a cone after the surgery- said to just keep him from licking.
Riiiiight.
This dog was obsessed with his own nuts (or nut, as the case was) BEFORE there was itching and pain and swelling. Like he's going to leave that area alone NOW.
So I went over to PETCO this morning and got him a dog from Mars cone and a bit of bribery treat.
It's sad and funny. He keeps running in to things and dropping his treat.
My dog was snipped too, but that hasn't stopped him from banging my sister's unspayed dog. I think of it as a vasectomy, at this point. At least he doesn't hump anything else.

Sometimes that's the most fun angle. You know what I'm talking about...
Cone- not helpful. Damn he's flexible.

Ursus or the dog?
The cone should be so big so it doesn't matter how flexible he is. Sounds like it is to small. Pics?
If I went for the bigger cone it would have been too big for his neck. He's only 68lbs. Not a very big dog.
Ursus- well... this thread isn't about him. ;)

His nose is sticking out beyond the edge? It should be longer than his nose.
It was longer than his nose by about 2 inches.
Eh. With the pain killers he's pretty much out most of the day, so hopefully it'll heal well enough that if he roots around down there it won't do any damage.
goosey is superadorable!
willie had to wear one of those cones for several weeks. he learned how to scope toys up in it. he also crashed into so many things with it on that the edges took on a ruffled appearance.
obviously, he totally rocked the look.

Thank you. :) He is pretty splendid.
He bashed into enough stuff today to make the cone bend- it's creased in some spots now and I think that helped him get to his bits.
It was pretty damn funny watching him try to drink out of the toilet though, I must say.

oh yeah - willie would drop a piece of biscuit or something on the floor and would reach down to get it and the cone would hit the ground first, creating a Cone Of No Biscuit. it was supercheap hilarity, i have to confess. it was like living with a vaudeville team.

I've only had girl dogs my entire life.
