Title: Roadtrip
Post by: Jessie on January 29, 2008, 08:41:03 PM
I have 20 hours of driving ahead of me in the next week and a half (Yay for going to SC!!) and a stack of 50 blank cds in front of me.

What are some suggestions for songs/albums/artists for roadtrips?

Pink - I'm Not Dead and Try This

Good mindless sing-out-loud music.

Not bad.  Both of Pink's first two albums are good driving music.

I doubt you have it, but Phish's album Junta is, to me, the best long drive CD ever.  Either that, or Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry album over and over and over and over.  Alternating with A-Ha's Hunting High and Low.

I really like driving to Rusted Root, particularly their "When I Woke" album.

What potential that band and album had.  *sigh*

There's this girl I know that's writing a zombie comic book with one of her friends.  The dialogue is phenomenal.  If you want, I could try to record it on a CD for you and send it to you.

I think that's who Chip refuses to listen to because they're racist bastards.  It's funny when one of their songs comes on and he goes into rant mode.  At least I think it's them, I can never remember.  Which has caused issues as sometimes I've accidentally played them.

Don't feel bad.  I can't read them, apparently, because I didn't even notice.

If you were going to put together a compilation of songs similar to Bill Withers' Ain't No Sunshine, what would you include on it?
