Title: My cat will be famous. In Canada.
Post by: dazie on January 17, 2008, 10:20:57 AM
Where's OBB when we need him?

My cat Albert is at a photoshoot today, playing the part of the "fat cat" in a Science Diet ad campaign that will run in Canada.

(Linked for big-itude.  I don't have any photo manipulation software here at work)

Wow, that's crazy.  How much does one get paid for their cat being in a photoshoot?

My boss's cat was once in a print campaign.  I don't know how much he got paid, but he did have his own credit card.

I don't know if we'll get paid or not.  I didn't ask.  Hrm.  Maybe he needs an agent.

He did, however, get a free trip to Kansas City inside a cardboard cat carrier.  :)  He was PISSED OFF this morning.

That's gotta hit a guy right in the self-esteem to be dragged out to play fat cat. :(

Oh he knows he's fat.  He's pretty and blond, he thinks of himself as manly though.

What happened to his ear?

I'm imagining that his earring got pulled out in a bar fight.

It was some sort of fight.  I can't remember who he was fighting.

Not a bar fight.

I picked him up from the shoot- evidently he distinguished himself by biting someone and then falling asleep.

The other cat bit several people and fell asleep, so at least Burt did better.  :)

I once paid $1500 for two days for a pure bred dog for a trade show.  I think you are getting ripped off if you don't get something.
