Oh god please let Kansas win. I don't think I could stand being around this place tomorrow if they lose.
We make big airpots of coffee during the day. Whoever makes the pot writes on the outside with a dry erase marker what date and time the coffee was made.
Today the pot says "GAME DAY! GO HAWKS!"
*sigh*
When I first read this, I thought that Kansas had a state bowling league.
There might be one.
Sorry- I forget that not everyone is slavering over the Orange Bowl.

We had the Rose Bowl fever. We lost. It'll be awhile before people get over it.

Guys, you Illini folks have a lot to be happy about. Your team was awful for the last two seasons before this year. Ron Zook has recruited well since he got there. This year, the first round of recruits plus the leftovers gave you your best season since Tony Eason in 1983. And going to the Rosebowl, having knocked off unbeaten number 1 Ohio State AT Ohio State will do wonders for this year's recruiting class. Added to that, Zook was already a damned good recruiter, considered in the top five in all of college football before coming to Illinois by many many scouts and programs.
Sure, you got manhandled by a more talented USC squad but you were playing a classic David vs Goliath and David turned the ball over way too much. But you guys achieved so much this season. It was probably unrealistic to expect the first bowl game, against a battle tested opponent, to go better than it did. But rest assured, your future is indeed bright in the Big 10. Zook brings SEC recruiting philosophies of speed and skill to a league that has grown stale (see Ohio State's ass kicking in 2006 against Florida(a Zook built team)) and that gives you a big advantage.
As long as Zook is around, Illinois will continue to grow into a national power.
Holy shit- they're not losing.
Hot damn.
