why is it that women can comment positively about another woman's anatomy and there isn't anything to it?  Not that I mind or anything... I'm just curious.

There's some of both.  Some women agree that women's bodies are inherently more beautiful than men's, with graceful curves where men either have flab or ugly muscular bulges.

There's also the homophobia that prevents men from talking about other men's bodies.

I think that she handled the situation well.  What I don't get is that people are so afraid of just being who they are.  There are those freaks of nature that look really good at any age and then there are those that just present themselves well.  I was glad when Sean Connery hdhis natural hairline in the third Indiana Jones movie.  The really sad thing is that in this age of accessible plastic surgery and stars are very public about it, it is hard to age with grace and dignity.
