i could have guessed as much. Here's the rub: an analog system that is of a truly great nature is bulky and expensive. Additionally, the engineers were once slaves to eliminating tape hiss. I suppose that you could still record things digitally and just present them in an analog format (DDA) but Vinyl will never come into vogue again exept where is never lost fashion.

It would be an interesting comeback and I do like the idea of pairing two different forms of the media into one package for purchase. I'd even be interested-maybe, in doing some of that. I still have a small collection of vinyl from the 70's and 80's and the 80's stuff is in pretty good condition.
