I think I like The Decemberists as much as I like Cake. It's very close, anyway. I never thought this day would come.
I have never heard of them, but my musical tastes tend to be way off the beaten path.

they play in medium sized venues out here. well actually thats pretty much the only size that exists except for the casinos. Very few nationally-known bands come here instead of Phoenix, but the Decemberists is one of them.
They also had a prime time on the second largest stage at Austin City Limits
