We're going to attempt home-made pasta tonight. Like from eggs and flour home-made.
Wish me luck!
I bet Tim is an expert at yanking noodles by now.
You suck.

You disappear for days and come back with this.

I didn't want this place to get too classy and proper. Also I got an ultrasound Monday morning and I'm keeping the baby! I don't need you!

ultrasounds are awesome!
Well, our technique will improve when we get an actual rolling pin, but for having to roll the pasta out using a can of PAM, I think we did pretty well. :)
We tossed it with olive oil, a bit of crumbled gorgonzola, some dried oregano & basil, minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
I used to have a pasta machine. Practically wore the thing out. I don't know where you get off with this "hand-rolled" nonsense.
Well, my birthday is next week... you could get one for me!
Would you be able to lift it by yourself? Or read the instructions?
um- yes?
Really? They use mighty small print in the instruction manuals these days.

Oh don't worry. I have one of those page magnifier things.

That sounds delicious. We had a pasta maker when I was growing up. I loved it.
I've always wanted to make fresh pasta, but then I always wonder if it's really better than store bought.
Is it?
Yes. Well, it's better than the hard stick noodles that you have to reconstitute. I've had some really good "fresh" pasta that was store bought.
This was really good, but we didn't roll it quite thin enough, so the texture was weird. I think it's better than the dried though.
I read somewhere online last week about someone using a paper shredder to make pasta.
oh yay! I found the article:

Bleach is corrosive. That explains why her chach is rusty.

That would make a great Eclipse gum commercial.
