I wish we had one of those here. Some days I just want a good bowl of soup for lunch. Is that so much to ask?
Prices have gone up, and some of the people who access the buffet ahead of you make you want to retch, but I agree that those places have their worth.
The few grocery stores that have salad bars often have a soup of the day.
Do y'all have White Hen? They have really good soup.
I'm trying to come up with a place around here that doesn't have soup. Other than McDonald's (which may - haven't been in one of those in years), I'm drawing a blank.
Places around here have soup, but not necessarily *good* soup.
I don't want to have to go through a long wait and stuff just to get a bowl of soup.
Panera has awesome soup.
Maybe I'll go here today:

The thought of soup on a day like today gives me the ickies.
Yeah. I'll probably change my mind once I get outside, but it's effing freezing in my office.
I like the soup and salad lunch at Olive Garden.
Mmmm Bread sticks.

ooo- Zuppa Toscana. :freak: Ursus makes a clone of that that's really good.
It's about 30 miles to an Olive Garden from here.
It's probably 45 miles for me to get to Olive Garden.

Without a doubt.
There's an Olive Garden 15 minutes from here.
5.25 miles for me.
What's the heat index where you all are?
102 for the high today, with a heat index of 110, here.
I have no idea. I think the "heat index" is BS anyway. If it FEELS like 150 degrees, it IS 150 degrees.
Lawrence, KS
99 high - 105 heat index
It is 68 degrees here, and Olive Garden is 4 miles away.

It's hit it here. And waved goodbye a long time ago. Current heat index 119.
81 degrees, feels like 85.

It *was* hot here. It's insanely overcast now.
Olive Garden has great Pasta Fagoule (sp?)
Bennigan's has good Potato soup
Panera has great French Onion Soup
I love eating at Panera and getting the Italian Combo sandwhich and a bowl of soup. Mmm mmm good.
Thanks. Now I have to go eat.
I had Spaghetti-Os and a peanut butter sammich.
I hate the day before payday. :-\

I was excited this morning to see that this weekend the temperature's gonna break. It's only going to be 92. I can't wait for fall.
I had a turkey sandwich and chips.
I had a meatloaf sammich for lunch. It was soft and didn't hurt my mouth. Very yummy. For some odd reason, I've been craving meatloaf lately. Not really sure why because I've never particularly been a fan of meatloaf.

Preggers?
I am not a fan of meatloaf, the food, but I freakin love that album. I can't help it.

:) I have it on my computer. "All Revved Up With No Place to Go" is on right now.
I had salisbury steak yesterday. That's basically meatloaf.
I've seen Meat Loaf in concert. Fun shows.
Columbia is 107 today. Down here it is in the mid 90's. I steal my soup from ReBurns house.

I was the one cooking tonight- my version of Zuppa Toscana is spicier than the OG, but I like it. :)
I'm am expert on Souper Salad, having always lived near one, no matter where I moved. I can tell you price and quality vary greatly within chain even within the same state. Some are nice as Sweet Tomatoes (or Soup Planatation) whereas some are akin to a KFC buffet.
I used to live by the latter till it closed down.
Once they ran out of lettuce
Once my friend found a bee in his food
They were always running of out of clean plates.
I wanted to steal the vegetable shaped planters, but they were too heavy. It's like a cell phone store now, and the planters are still there
