I just fixed my brother's computer (again) and it's so much nicer than my 6 year old clunker of a machine, that I don't want to give it back.
Charge him the price of a new not-broken computer for fixing his. Win-win.
Swap the guts of his machine with the guts of yours. He'll probably never notice.
I told him that I'd considered doing that.
He says his (our) friend has a similar computer with a similar problem and that they'd probably pay me to fix it.
I don't think I'm skilled enough to do this for money.

Get it and call one of us if you get stuck.
I have plenty of help if I get stuck, but if I'm getting paid, and you're doing all the thinking, that just doesn't seem right, either.

You will have to get out of that mindset if you want to make it into management.
I don't really feel that way at work. We're talking about me taking money from my friends, which is different.

Isn't that what friends are for?

In good times, in bad times, they'll be on your side forevermore...
I'm going to stab both of you.
