Title: clothing question
Post by: dazie on May 17, 2007, 09:08:59 AM
I have a new-ish blouse that has already started to get worn looking.  You know- pale around the edges.

Do you think I can do a weak RIT dye rinse in the same main color to perk it back up?  It's one of those that is made of 99% one color threads, but 1% another color so it looks "deeper" than the one color alone.

Your new-ish blouse has gone emo?

I'd be a bit worried about that - if you do a weak rinse, it'll probably end up looking very splotchy.

I've only ever RITted t-shirts, so I don't know.

I thought of that, but would it make it worse?  I mean, the shirt already looks kind of shabby.

Well if you're at the point where you aren't going to wear it anymore anyway, you might as well try it.

I'm not quite there yet, I mean- it still looks nice enough, but I can see where it won't be much longer.
