I was pondering starting my garden this weekend.  Since we're now trying to not wash away, I figure I'll wait.

My wife planted some pansies around the mailbox last fall, and even though we had a freeze hard enough to make our pond freeze 3" deep, they came back this spring. What's more, they multiplied. We now have more pansies around the mailbox than she planted.

Oh, and it's windy here.

I haven't planted anything yet. I was tearing stuff out.  We have this walled garden thing that was partially destroyed when they put in the well and the weeds and grasses overtook it.  I still need to take out two of the red tips that have died - I have no idea how to go about doing that.  I also need to rent a tiller.  And I figure I need to add about 6 inches of dirt to the right side, and rebuild the stone wall on the left side.  And then plant and mulch.  Every single part of my body hurts.
