How do I do a WHOIS on an international domain name?

go to www.dnsstuff.com.  Just use the WHOIS there.

Huh.  It's telling me "too many requests"

Does that mean for that specific domain or just for dnsstuff in general?

probably just the site in general.  A lot of whois servers will point you to the proper whois database in the results they return, like APNIC or whatever.

I think they limit the number of requests per day from a domain (unless you're willing to pay.)  If a bunch of people at KU were using it today, the servers may be cut off.
