So, bored with lame daytime tv, I decided to start on the deep cleaning and preparing our house for sale. I took down a picture which hasn't been moved in years in the rec room bathroom and it turns out the wallpaper has faded so I have this one bright rectangle. Anybody got any bright ... er, I mean fading ideas or should i just strip the paper and paint?
This was the one room in the house that I thought didn't need any work.
Strip and paint. Take pictures.

Good thing it wasn't Yellow Wallpaper.

Just paint over the wallpaper if it's still in good condition.
I have a steamer if you decide you want to steam the old wallpaper off. You'll have to come pick it up though.
Can't paint over it - it has borders. I've decided just to have the painter guy add the bathroom to the list. Pain in the butt. And the wallet.
It's really cute wallpaper, too. It has fishes.

She's even paying for it.
Simple solution: Hang the picture back on the wall in the same spot. Problem Solved!

Yeah, but we're selling the house. Kind of want to take the picture with me.

so leave the picture up during the showing, long enough to sell the house....then take the picture when you move.
stop making this more difficult than what it is...geeesh!

Or take the picture down and tell anyone who views the house that the rest of the wallpaper is normal but that this one square has gotten noticeably sharper and brighter as the years have gone by. Make it sound all spooky and shit.
