You know, I think that if there was a person you didn't like, and you handed them Wasabi Peas and a Vernor's ginger ale, and told them to inhale the smell of Vernor's through their nose and then take a bite of the Wasabi Peas and then exhale through their nose, you could kill them and totally get away with it.

I was thinking about a different type of reading group, one that focuses on genre novels.  A genre could be chosen, suggestions made on books people haven't read before, and so on.

Yes, I'm talking sci-fi, horror, western, romance, etc., and all the sub-genres therein.

Thoughts?  Interest?

So, no deadlines and required discussions?

Beefy

Well, I think the point with all such groups is to have people to discuss them with.

Oh.  Then I guess I'm unclear on what you're suggesting.

Beefy

Typical book club structure, just focusing on genre novels.  Or those novels that are considered genre novels.  Or sub-genre novels.  Or sub-sub-genre novels.

I sure as hell don't know what he's talking about.  Aren't all books actually genre books?  Yes.
