Finally watched it

Lars and the Real Girl.

I really liked it.  What a sweet movie! 

I watched it with Kate so there was a lot of explaining going on, but at the end we both agreed it was a decent flick.

Didn't Ryan Gosling used to be married to some actress?

That's near the top of my netflix queue.

I think he dated that chick that was in The Notebook with him whose name I can't recall at the moment.

It makes me wish real life people were like the people in the movie.

It was a strange movie.  It made me wonder how he could be so odd while his family seemed so normal and nurturing.

Well, Gus and Karen were normal and nurturing as adults, but remember- [spoiler]Lars' mother died giving birth to him, the dad was depressed the rest of his life, Gus split as soon as he could- every significant person in Lars' life had abandoned him somehow.  I'm also guessing that there was some hint of "if it wasn't for Lars, Mom would still be alive" and "If it wasn't for me, Mom would still be alive."[/spoiler]

I've only seen her in one other movie (Transiberrian which is awesome) but I really like the girl playing the sister in law.  She always seems to play Midwestern women, but she is like British
