Apparently.  I've never seen the movie but I've seen a good bit of footage and know some of the basic story.  Could it have been part of some other film/doc and that's what I'm thinking of?

Surfwise is a documentary. 

I think he was asking if you saw the actual documentary, or if for some reason someone made a documentary about making that documentary.

Got that part.  But still, somehow, not having seen the actual doc, I've seen quite a bit of their story on tv in some part.
