I've watched a few movies in the past few days:

Hot Fuzz - Good.  Not as funny as I expected, but I was grumpy when I watched it, so I can't fully blame the movie.

Zodiac - Really, really good.  It gave me the creeps, and I liked it a lot.

Disturbia - I think this was pretty good, but I had four kids and one adult in the room who talked through the whole movie.

Blades of Glory - Blech.  Boring, unfunny, and just kind of stupid.

Blades of Glory was funny in the theater, but I think it was mostly because I had taken 2 10 year old girls and I was laughing at what an idiot I was to do that.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

I saw that movie with Robin Williams and "Jim Halpert" in it today.

It was bad.

We just watched Undead. A campy zombie flick made in Australia. At first I thought it was starting way too fast with the zombie stuff, but later they actually developed a decent plot. It was both funny (in an over the top gory way) and pretty decent in a scifi conceptual way.

I thought Blades of Glory was funnier than Talladega.  Heder and Ferrell played well of each other.

Undead is a fun flick.

VJ and I saw Balls of Fury and Halloween 2007 yesterday.  Halloween was in digital and loud as hell.  It was also filled with young children thanks to a ton of irresponsible parents.

Alice

I can kind of understand having your kids see a scary movie, to teach them the difference between the real world and the fake one.  That being said... have them watch it at home on DVD so you can friggin stop it or pause it if it's too scary and so you don't ruin a crowd of people's experience with the movie.  I'm starting to believe most parents that take their young kids to this shit are just too cheap and/or lazy to get a babysitter for the night.

Jessie

I like for Timothy to watch scary movies because it's funny.

Timothy's what, ten?  Eleven now?  These kids were, like, two and three.

He watched all the jurassic park movies before he was five.  Does that count?  Well, we saw the third one on his fifth birthday.  He loved them.

I don't think Dinosaurs are as scary as slasher serial killers that kill kids.  But that's just me.

You've obviously never been chased by a dinosaur.

There was this one time when my friend's grandfather was hitting on me constantly at his wedding rehearsal dinner... does that count?

Beefy

Superbad was okay.  It confused cruelty with comedy a lot, and would have benefited with tighter editing and dialogue delivery.

But then again it's a big fat hit, so what do I know?

I laughed heartily at Blades of Glory. So much that I bought the company! Well, not the company. But I did buy the DVD.

Someone had her grumpy pants on when she watched it.

The other two discs I bought (along with the Buck Rogers) were the first two Eastwood/Leone flicks, of which GB&U is the second of three.

I thought this thread would be about that.

I'm calling the nets-police about you people...
I was just wondering...

I thought they were in this order:

1.) A Fist Full of Dollars
2.) For a Few Dollars More
3.) The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
4.) Once Upon a Time in the West

I'm too lazy to go look it up.

worth seeing?

A matinee.  Started out funny, but then got kind of boring when the tournament began.  James Hong, however, was hysterical.
