No Direction Home: Bob Dylan
A Martin Scorsese Picture

On PBS tonight and tomorrow night as part of the American Masters series.

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/americanmasters/dylan/

I don't know if any of you are interested, but I'm going to be watching as Bob Dylan is my hero.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

Beefy

Waiting for DVD but highly interested.

Did you, by any chance, record?
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

I don't have anything to record with. I threw my VCR away because it didn't work.

I thought part one was supposed to go off at 10:30, but it's still on and into the interesting stuff now.

Unfortunate.  Do you want one?  I took one apart at work today, got the tape out and cleaned out the mouse poo, but I put it all back together.  It should work still.  They're going to throw it away and get a new one.

(BTW- If I get hantavirus from the VCR, it's been nice knowing you)

If I wanted one, which I don't, there's still another one at my dad's house. I have little need for a VCR, but thanks for the offer!

Does the one at your dad's house come with it's own deadly virus?  I THINK NOT!

Keep it in mind...

No Direction Home isn't nearly as good as Don't Look Back. Maybe it's because No Direction Home is more of a retrospection of the period where Don't Look Back was filmed in the moment, while Dylan was on tour in 1965.

Then again, I haven't seen Don't Look Back in a couple of years. I need to buy a copy of it.

Don't look back
A new day is breakin'
It's been too long since I felt this way
I don't mind where I get taken
The road is callin'
Today is the day

I can see
It took so long to realize
I'm much too strong
Not to comprimise
Now I see what I am is holding me down
I'll turn it around

I finally see the dawn arrivin'
I see beyond the road I'm drivin'
Far away and left behind

It's a new horizon and I'm awakin' now
Oh I see myself in a brand new way
The sun is shinin'
the clouds are breakin'
'Canse I can't lose now, there's no game to play

I can tell
There's no more time left to criticize
I've seen what I could not recognize
Everthing in my life was leading me on
but I can be strong

I finally see the dawn arrivin'
I see beyond the road I'm drivin'
Far away and left behind
11:42:24 [Gamplayerx] I keep getting knocked up.
11:42:28 [Gamplayerx] Er. OUT!

Beefy

I noticed yesterday that the DVD is already out.  It's going in my queue.

I could kill you, but then I'd be messy.
