What's the story with tonight's EMHE?
I caught the end of it, but I missed what happened with their baby/babies.
Also, where's Ty?
I'm still watching it - I'm at 9:30 right now. The story is that they had two girls and then a boy who died. And then a girl who has a brain disorder - she's missing a lot of brain. And then a boy. Ty is taping the hurricane relief shows.
Why did the boy die? What was wrong with him?
I don't know. I was doing laundry and missed that part. Guess I could rewind, but I'm not done with the show yet.
I turned it on right as she was looking at the shadowbox, and damn if I didn't cry.
Oh, and the mom looks so much like Mellisa from Real World Miami.
I'm ashamed that I know that.
I always cry. EMHE is a sobfest. I still don't know why the son died - but apparantly it was almost immediately after birth.
All they said about the child that died was that they were told he had a fatal condition and he only lived 3 hours after birth.
How sad.
Thanks Gamp. I was just curious.
Damn, this show still makes me sob. Where's eo?
EO!! You have to start watching this with me again so I don't feel like such a weepy loser.
I Netflixed a bunch of them. The one with the Dad in Iraq was good.
They are available on DVD?
The one tonight was a woman with 6 kids who couldn't live in her house because it had toxic mold. Her husband (a volunteer firefighter) delivered her 6th kid and then died 24 days later - from the mold.

Yes. It was very sad.
I wish eo would watch EMHE with me again. Grumpus mocks me.
This is crazy. I just came to say that the show made me tear up.
The Hawaiian couple may kill me.
Yay! Thanks for validating my sobbiness, DS!
The bench did me in. I need a tissue.
I watched. The looks on their faces when they moved the bus got me.
Ty needs a haircut. The acne chic was a little over the top. I teared up more than once though. I was thinking of eos mom most the time though.

Side note: when you type forsaken more than once, it looks really funny.
Now I have that damn song in my head. Stupid chatters!
What song?
Wake up
(wake up)
Grab a brush and put on a little make up
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
(hide the scars to fade away the shakeup)
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
There you go create another fable
You wanted to
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup
You wanted to
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
You wanted to
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
I dont think you trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die (die)
Wake up
(wake up)
Grab a brush and put on a little make up
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
(hide the scars to fade away the shakeup)
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
There you go create another fable

Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
You wanted to
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
I dont think you trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
Father father father father
Father into your hand I comend my spirit
Father into your hand why have you forsaken me in your eyes
Forsaken me in your thoughts
Forsaken me in your heart
Forsaken me ohh
Trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
EMHE is really good tonight. Nice and teary. I'm all verklempt. Not just because of the show.
I had turkey bacon and eggs for dinner tonight. It was good.
They screamed too much on EMHE and got on my nerves.
They always scream. Eggs are icky. Bacon is good. I miss DS. EMHE makes me cry.
They screamed too much. Eggs are yummy. Turkey Bacon is excellent. I miss DS, terribly, too. I can't stop thinking about him :(. EMHE makes me cry sometimes.
Bacon tastes good.
Pork chops taste good.

I'm probably in the minority, but I didn't find Pulp Fiction all that good. I can't opine on Plump Fiction.
I liked it, but it isn't one of those movies I say "Hey- I'm really in the mood to watch Pulp Fiction tonight!"
I dont' think we even own it.

I thought it was ok. Nothing spectacular. Of course I loved Samuel L., as always, though.
I do have the soundtrack though, and I like it quite a bit.
I have to turn down parts of it when I listen at work though... ::)

Neither DS nor eo watched it with me.
Tonight was a nice one - didn't make me sob, but was still a misty story. And nice house!
A friend of Grumpus's lives on the same block as the house on tonight's show. She said that in order to keep the neighbors happy, they did repair work and home improvement projects to each and every home on the block.
Damn. Wish they'd come to MY block. I could use some screens.
I wish I had a house for them to make over.
What was the story tonight? I didn't tune in til the end.
It wasn't a very heartwrenching story. Single mother of 4 bought a house - turns out the house was completely destroyed by termites and held together by tape. So she and her 4 boys had been living in the dining room of her parents one-room townhouse for the last year and a half while she worked two jobs trying to come up with the money to rebuild the house.
Her husband didn't die tragically, as far as I can tell - they just divorced.
EDIT: her oldest son is amazingly well spoken
EDIT #2: the twins are adorable!
EDIT #3: too bad one of them isn't a falsetto child
I thought him very mature and well spoken, as well.
Kate wanted to know if we had a good enough story to get a home makeover.
I told her no, that we'd probably have to cut her leg off.

I wouldnt' care what they did to my house; if I hear Ty Pennington yelling and I'm near enough to stab him in the larynx, I'm going to stab him in the larynx.

Fairly nice little apology.
Yeah. At least he took responsibility and didn't try to offer any excuses or anything.

I like the show. I've never seen or read any interviews. You cranky, baby.
The show is good in many ways, but he completely undermines it is with his plasticity and egotism.

You should upgrade to a Tivo Series 2 or 3 that can watch/record two separate events at the same time. We are about to upgrade our HD Series 3 to 1 TB.

We don't have a Tivo anymore. (that's not true, we still have a Tivo - it's just in a cardboard box and not hooked up to anything), but our Comcast DVRs allow us to watch/record two separate events at the same time. In fact, I can record two things and watch yet another that was previously recorded. Of course, this presumes that I have control of the remote. Which I do not currently have.
To correct: She died in December.
She had brain cancer.
