Sci-Fi channel is "re-inventing" the story of Flash Gordon. I totally loved the 80's version of the original story. It's one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
The Deeeelux remastered old version is hitting DVD today. I'll be running by the store very shortly.

I was in Best Buy today and I DID NOT SEE THIS! I'm going back tomorrow!
Seriously, they only had one copy. They didn't have any up front with the new releases, nor a blank shelf space labeled for it. They just had one copy snugly in the sci-fi section, with no space on either side suggesting there had been multiple copies at some point. Perhaps it's like Monster Squad in that they just didn't order many.
