Reason #1 to watch Threshold:  Brannon Braga is the person who made Rick Berman's horrible ideas into semi-passable Star Trek, at least in the beginning.

Reason #2 to watch Threshold:

I have loved everything Carla Gugino has ever been in.

Y'know what?  It really was.  Especially the assless chaps bit.

I'd forgotten she was in that until I saw a bit of Son-In-Law again on TBS or TNT or something a few weeks ago.

Seriously, though, Gugino is a good actress, and very pretty, and I would totally hit it.

I think that her facial expressions are a bit over the top.  She makes all kinds of weird lip movements and stuff.

we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

Beefy

Carla Gugino is all kinds of scrumptuous.

I DEMAND SOMEONE ELSE WATCH THIS SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT!

ON IN 11 MINUTES!

DariusMDeV

I'll Tivo it and check it out tomorrow morning.  SG-1 trumps it.

Beefy

A sci-fi TV show where the humans hack each other up with axes and such.  +1

Flip dialogue that makes us take the characters less serious.  -1

Carla Gugino.  +1

DariusMDeV

From CBS:

Restless and confrontational, Fenway plays by his own rules.

That's a worrysome sentence.

Beefy

Yeah, the flip dialogue is kind of annoying.  They need to do better developing character.  Except Spiner's character, to whom both dc and I can relate well.

Also... ZOMBIES :zombie:

Beefy

Meta-humans +1

Bio-forming as the basis for a TV show +2

Annoying, unbelievable dialogue -1

Beefy

Okay, I think we can see how this will work: neat ideas, cornball writing.

eo000, they prominently used Athlete's "Wires".  +2

Using William Mapother +1

lame writing -2

This show can be saved.  Have the conviction to take itself seriously and write it right and you'll have a hit.

Ah.  The guy who hosted the Reading Rainbow show on PBS.  But that still gets me no closer to understanding how I can relate to him, unless it's the pushing books on people thing.

Well, close enough for someone who's entire viewing history of STNG is what I saw as I clicked past it.  Then again, that can be said for most series with me.

"if I wank to it, will u feel disgusted or flattered or a perverse combo of both?"

The reason I said dc and I could relate to him wasn't because of his Star Trek character, but because of his character on Threshold.  He fit well with both dc's Junto title and my Junto title.

I'll give the show a few more episodes to work out the kinks.

Supposedly it is a three year concept, with the title of the show changing each year.

He's a website administrator?  I'll be deleting that tivo file now.  It's always really bad when a shows own creator calls a character someone "who plays by his own rules"
