What is it about the opening theme from Superman that just makes us so... I don't know, so emotional.

John Williams, of all the movie scores he's done, this is probably one of the top five all time "themes" he's written.  Every time I hear that song, I'm like, "yeah, f'ing Superman!"

Is it just me?

Beefy

It will be interesting to see how they incorporate it into the new movie.

I haven't seen Smallville in a while, but they used to incorporate it well in the show, especially on the episode with Christopher Reeve.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

They haven't used it since the start of last season, if I remember right.

I'm glad John Williams did the theme for Superman.  I wonder what it would have been like if Herbie Hancock did the theme?  Or Yanni?
11:42:24 [Gamplayerx] I keep getting knocked up.
11:42:28 [Gamplayerx] Er. OUT!

Hebie would have been Superman Rockin'!!!!!

Can you imagine the commercials with Superman flying forwards and back to the tune of Rockit with all the scratching!!  Totally cool.

Alice

I always start singing the Superman song, then it morphs into Indiana Jones & I confuse myself.

Same thing happens with the A Team song.

Gamplayerx

I can't for the life of me think how the Superman theme goes.

Nor can I.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

When I try to think of it, the Greatest American Hero theme gets in the way.

No, that's Star Wars.

That's funny.  Not that it's starwars, but that you can read that and know what I mean.

Let's see if anyone gets this one.

Hint:  it's not a movie theme, but it's associated with movies.

I personally find most of John Williams' work to be too similar.  I can never remember which theme goes to which movie.  Maybe it's not his fault.  Maybe the movies are too similar.
