Swiss steak.
What is Swiss steak?
Steak cooked in tomatoes and peppers and stuff. It's really good with mashed potatoes.
I need to start a grocery list.
This recipe sounds pretty good. I've also had it with shredded carrots added, which was yummy.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pounds round steak, 1/2-inch thick
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
salt and pepper
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 medium onion, quartered and sliced thinly
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 teaspoon ground marjoram
dash thyme
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
PREPARATION:
In a large heavy skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cut beef into 6 serving-size pieces then pound with pointed side of meat mallet to tenderize and flatten slightly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Brown in oil until browned.
Pour off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until meat is fork-tender. Check frequently and add water or beef broth if necessary. Serves 6.
I have meatloaf and mashed potatoes in the fridge here. Yes, meatloaf is singing in the refridgerator.

Are you sure he'll be there? Besides, I think he's married.
I don't like meatloaf or chicken and dumplings.
I have a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket, and I have these as my options.

The pictures on the last one are all messed up. Why is there a BLT beside the steaks?

It's too late. Everyone was ignoring me as usual, so I called the Olive Garden instead.

The Olive Gardren is no Macaroni Bar and Grill.
Macaroni Grill is far superior to Olive Garden. So is Maggiano's.
Eating at Olive Garden is like living in Maryland and going to Red Lobster for crabcakes.
Olive Garden blows.

I don't really like the Macaroni Grill that much. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, since I've only been there once.
I used to work at the Macaroni Grill. I hated it.
Never had Macaroni Grill. One of my friends was a bartender there.
I was craving something else before I read this thread.
Now I fucking want pasta.
