Same basic storyline.

I found this to be very enjoyable.  I won't go into plot, as that really isn't the reason people will go to see this.  It worth mentioning that Jet holds his own opposite Morgan Freeman.  No slackers in the acting.

Now then, you probably want to know, how is the action when the leash comes off?

FUCKING PAINFUL.

No Wire-Fu.  Just fast, long, hard fights.  Things get crunched and broken in ways that will make you wince repeatedly.  These scenes needed to be ferocious for the central conceit of the film to work.  They are just that - ferocious.  Any doubts get washed aside immediately, as the film opens with a brutal fight of Jet versus hordes.

Guess who wins.

Fun flick.

Jet Li kicks ass.

Oh holy hell did I enjoy this movie.

Beef is right on with the fights.

Nothing fancy, no special effects, just full-on balls of fury.

It's also poignant.

I was weepy.  I was pumped.
