I just signed up for it.

Hey... at least I'm posting.
And thank you, that was delicious.
While I had Netflix, I found them to be fine. But then the movies were just piling up and we were never watching them, so I cancelled it. It seems I need the pressure of late fees in order to watch dvds.
Piling up? How many did you take out at a time?
4.
I have Blockbuster Total Access
They are roughly the same price. Blockbuster gives you access to the store as well as the internet queue. This is a major bonus, as sometimes I don't want to wait or others don't want to see my odd movies. However, Netflix does have a wider selection of semi-obscure films. Or if they don't have the film, they at least recognize it and will save it if they ever do. SEE example Battle Royale or Inland Empire.
I have been waiting forever to get Season 1 of Wondershozen from Blockbuster, but there is a long queue...
Anybody have any good suggestions?
Because I want the last episode of Six Feet Under, Netflix is recommending all these gay movies for me to watch. Because I like a show with a gay character - I must want to watch as many gay movies as possible.
I'm not so sure I agree with some of their recommendations based on other films. Another example:
Three Stooges: Dizzy Doctors
Recommended because you enjoyed: Dawn of the Dead, Dirty Dozen
WTF? Did they recommend that because I like movies that have two D words in them?
Devil's Backbone
Infernal Affairs
Twilight Samurai

I watched disk one of the new Dr. Who Season 1 in one sitting (I think Bish recommended it) and am waiting on disk two to arrive.
excellent less known movies
Mysterious Skin (gay main character)
Bully
Primer
City of God
Intacto
The Devil's BackBone
Yes, be my Netflix buddy. I already am buddies with Jessie and her manwhore.
This is kind of addictive.
Beefy, I sent you an invite to join my friends page!
Also, I really like that you can look through your friend's queues.
When I first got Netflix, I rated a lot of movies. That's why I have an insane amount of movies in my queue.
Who else is on there that I'm not Netflix friends with? Dazie?
Look, a handy dandy link to be my friend! http://www.netflix.com/BeMyFriend/PMHltZ57Ke0hIHYerlWI

Too bad you can't put stuff in your friends' queues. Imagine the possibilities.

You'd all be getting a lot of Ranma 1/2. :D
Damn, found it too late.

Maybe I'll convert to Netflix just to hang with the cool kids.

Everybody's doing it. Try it for free, til you get hooked, then they'll start making you pay.
It's kinda cool/creepy that you can see what movies your friends currently have.
I recommend Bully too. I think you would really like it.

Hated Bully.
I have hated everything by Larry Clark and hope he dies in a fire.

That's how I feel about Gus Van Sant.

I felt disgusted and mesmerized at the same time. I felt I had a good visceral idea of what it was like to be an aimless, rootless Floridaaaa teen in a humid land. It was too gratuitious and spottily acted, but it left enough of an impression on me to recommend. It was all in all a story of nihilism and the deadening effect our suburban and godless exisistance leads to. And its a true story.

Bully was a rough watch. I'm not a big Larry Clark fan myself. I was in the minority that felt Kids was exploitative. In a bad way. Which is weird for me, because I like exploitation.
I can never fully hate Gus Van Sant because of Drugstore Cowboy. Good Will Hunting was a good flick, too.

I liked Good Will Hunting, and I've never seen Drugstore Cowboy. I can't stand the rest of the crap of his I've seen. Something about that man makes me want to punch him.
I can't believe they have $6 movies. I think I'm going to treat myself every 2 weeks and buy one. :)
This time it's High Tension. I'm not sure what next one's will be.

A woman with good taste right here, y'all.
Do you ever not want to see a movie, but Netflix recommends it constantly - so you just decide... screw it? And put it in your queue?

Nope.
sweet. I signed up with Blockbuster online today and they had saved my list from last time I was with them. This is my current list:
QuoteAmerican Psycho [Special Edition]
Kippur
Evil Dead [WS]
Videodrome
Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Lost in La Mancha
Yellowbeard
Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic [Unrated]
Puddle Cruiser
Notorious C.H.O.
Logan's Run
Unforgiven [Special Edition]
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
Lady Vengeance
D.O.A.
Jacket [WS]
John Cleese: The Strange Case of the End of Civilization as We Know It
Waiting [Unrated] [WS]
Plump Fiction
Waiting for Guffman
Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter
Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky [Subtitled]
Bram Stoker's Dracula
If they have the Greek zombie flick "Evil", you should throw that in there. You might like it. It's a splatter gore comedy thingie.
I'm scared to ask, but what is Plump Fiction?
The story of ricky is fucking fantastic.
I just put all 4 seasons of "The Pretender" on my Netflix queue. Yay!
Frankenhooker is en route to my house.

I don't know. I added to my list like a year ago and I don't remember why. In fact I don't remember why I added half of those movies.
