While I had Netflix, I found them to be fine.  But then the movies were just piling up and we were never watching them, so I cancelled it.  It seems I need the pressure of late fees in order to watch dvds.

Piling up?  How many did you take out at a time?

I have Blockbuster Total Access

They are roughly the same price.  Blockbuster gives you access to the store as well as the internet queue.  This is a major bonus, as sometimes I don't want to wait or others don't want to see my odd movies.  However, Netflix does have a wider selection of semi-obscure films.  Or if they don't have the film, they at least recognize it and will save it if they ever do.  SEE example Battle Royale or Inland Empire.

I have been waiting forever to get Season 1 of Wondershozen from Blockbuster, but there is a long queue...

Anybody have any good suggestions?

Because I want the last episode of Six Feet Under, Netflix is recommending all these gay movies for me to watch.  Because I like a show with a gay character - I must want to watch as many gay movies as possible.

I'm not so sure I agree with some of their recommendations based on other films.  Another example:

Three Stooges: Dizzy Doctors

Recommended because you enjoyed: Dawn of the Dead, Dirty Dozen

WTF?  Did they recommend that because I like movies that have two D words in them?

Also, I really like that you can look through your friend's queues.

When I first got Netflix, I rated a lot of movies.  That's why I have an insane amount of movies in my queue.

Who else is on there that I'm not Netflix friends with?  Dazie?

I felt disgusted and mesmerized at the same time.  I felt I had a good visceral idea of what it was like to be an aimless, rootless Floridaaaa teen in a humid land.  It was too gratuitious and spottily acted, but it left enough of an impression on me to recommend.  It was all in all a story of nihilism and the deadening effect our suburban and godless exisistance leads to.  And its a true story.

Bully was a rough watch.  I'm not a big Larry Clark fan myself.  I was in the minority that felt Kids was exploitative.  In a bad way.  Which is weird for me, because I like exploitation.

I can never fully hate Gus Van Sant because of Drugstore Cowboy.  Good Will Hunting was a good flick, too.

I liked Good Will Hunting, and I've never seen Drugstore Cowboy.  I can't stand the rest of the crap of his I've seen.  Something about that man makes me want to punch him.

I can't believe they have $6 movies.  I think I'm going to treat myself every 2 weeks and buy one. :)

This time it's High Tension.  I'm not sure what next one's will be.

Do you ever not want to see a movie, but Netflix recommends it constantly - so you just decide... screw it?  And put it in your queue?

If they have the Greek zombie flick "Evil", you should throw that in there.  You might like it.  It's a splatter gore comedy thingie.
