Whoever took the pictures needs to quit using cameras. It's a pretty nice place.
It looks kind of cute. Except if you buy it, please promise me to nix that border in the kitchen.
i like the brick.. very classic.
My mom just stopped by. I think we're going to offer $85K for this condo.
We're going to check with a realtor friend of my mom to see if he can find anywhere that's better first.
The only other ones I like so far are about $25K more.
Looks nice.
Cool. Good luck. Best thing you can do.
Just signed some paperwork with the realtor. We're placing a starting offer of $82K today.
Good luck!

At my apartment, the toilet and one sink are in a room, and the shower and another sink are in a room next to it.

My old place had a sink in one room. The toilet and shower in another room and sink in another room. Shaped like an L.

So very European. Which, of course, reminds me of the old joke. When are you not an American?

;D That's right, Sapph! You win!
I would kill for a decent $82K house here.
Me too Youph. The only ones here are in the ghetto of the ghetto, need major renovation, or a million miles away.
When do you expect to hear something back Iggle Diggle?

An $82K house there is a refrigerator box.
Upside for me going to Roanoke vs. Annapolis, I can get a killer house. My boss (the radiologist in Roanoke) is out looking today for us.
It's about $100 per square foot (for what we want), where it was arount $200+ per square in Annapolis.
My aunt is looking for a house in the Radford/Roanoke area too, Robb. She likes it a lot better than Baltimore.
Roanoke is, um, nice.
Sapph, you got it.

I got this listing from my realtor in KS today: http://www.realtyx.com/listings/detail.php?lid=5711537&& (http://www.realtyx.com/listings/detail.php?lid=5711537&&)
I'm so tempted to just buy it sight unseen just because of the land and the proximity to Lawarence.
Ursus talked to the realtor- evidently "needs lots of cosmetic work" means has no floor coverings and needs a new bathroom. Like the WHOLE room. I asked if there were wombats living in the tub.
They're getting back to me on the wombat situation.

You could haul it away and build something else. I suppose you'd have to built a cool new pad for the wombats, too.
I figured I'd let them keep whatever their nesting ruined.
You know how people get those wooden signs that say "Home of The Smith Family" (if their name is Smith of course) or they put the name of their house on the sign?
I figured we could put "Home of the Flying Dingii" and "Wombat Haven"
I'm gonna put Folsom Prison on my mailbox.
They accepted $89K for the condo. Now all I need is, well, $89K.

I can spot you $20.
I've totally got $0.17 (includes interest) with your name on it.
I can give you moral support. And some information on smoking cessation. But that is about it.
Look in the couch.
I have $.43 in my IRA.

Hey! My debt is almost as much as your house!
And congrats, Iggle. Are you rolling in your downpayment in the loan?
So, Igs, have you heard about the condo yet?
I still have to get a loan. We're supposed to sign on May 15.
The loan got approved, and apparently I have really good credit.
Yay! Congrats!
Can you loan me a $20?
Can you GIVE me $20?
Can you give me 20 grand?
Just for the record, apparently being broke all the time has nothing to do with credit.

Have you found a house in VA yet?
Do you like the area?
I like the area, we are going to be in Roanike from 8 - 13th looking. There are plenty of new construction we can get quickly. It is a matter of choosing (at this point).
So, Iggle, are you closing tomorrow?
What is your new address going to be, you know, if someone feels nice enough to get you a housewarming present or something...
The address is written down in my car. I don't know it offhand yet.
I don't expect housewarming presents.
I have to go tonight with the agent and do a walkthrough to see if they fixed a few things.

First of all, it's not up to you whether people give you gifts or not.
Second of all, knowing this lot, it would all be unusual.
The place is a mess. The carpets are super dirty. The shower isn't clean. The fridge is nasty. It pretty much looks like this place will after I move out.
Are they at least going to clean it up for you? Or do you appreciate the already-comfortable aesthetic?
DON'T PANIC
If I weren't on dialup, I'd do a GIS for that, but the text will have to suffice.
YAY! Welcome to the world of painting and home projects!

Now I have to get the water, electricity, and cable switched over, and they're all three different than where I used to live.
At lunch I have to go to the water utility office and the electric utility office. I hope there's free parking and I don't go directly to jail. Maybe I'll take a ride on the Reading Railroad or win $50 in a beauty contest.

You know, you can go directly to go and collect $200.
Can you sign up for services online?
New customers have to go to the office.
After moving a bunch of stuff, I stayed at the new place last night and slept til almost 3 pm today.
It's too wet to move anything today.
I'm gonna sleep there tomight too, probably.

That is true in most cases, I know people who could buy a $500k house with case, and still take out a mortgage. Now that you have a mortgage, check with a "tax advisor" what it will do for you at the end of the year. You might be able to file a new W4 and keep more money per paycheck, or wait until the end of the year and get a nice "savings" chunk back. I would file a new W4, though. Save your own money.
