I just got done with the first part of this one: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&isbn=1400077508&itm=2
Anyone who likes pirate fiction humor should check it out. Especially Gamp, as the Pirate Captain's motto is "I like ham", and there is much debate among the pirates about the best way to prepare ham for their feasts.

Your nuts can drive? That is kinda awesome.
I like pie, rats.
They sound fun!
Also, this amused me:
People who bought this book also bought:
• Bad Cat: 244 Not-So-Pretty Kitties and Cats Gone Bad Jim Edgar, With R. D. Rosen, With Harry Prichett

• Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation Lynne Truss

244 Not-So-Pretty Kitties? Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation? Zounds!
I just finished it. I feel sad now because the Pirate Captain lost his prize ham in the fight with Moby Dick. All the pirates agreed that the prize ham was better than the Baby Jesus because the Baby Jesus never had a succulent honey glaze.

Well, gee. Thanks a lot, dc. Way to ruin the ending for the rest of us.
Nice. He recommends a book and then he spoils it for everybody.

Well, you still get the adventure of Ahab and the Pirates sailing to Las Vegas and just missing the whale at the casino.... And I haven't mentioned anything about their adventure with the Scientists to defeat the Bishop of Oxford.
also, you have made no mention of one of the best things about being a pirate: shanties!

Actually, that is
the best thing about being a pirate.....
And watch out for the dino-pirates.
I was just talking to this guy on the phone, and he was telling me a pirate joke, and he talked in a pirate VOICE.

Some sort of pirate sex phone line?
is this a handy dating tip?
Remember to bring along a ham. And make sure he's been eating limes to prevent scurvy rather than green Starburst. The Pirate with the Accordion found that out the hard way.

Are you sure they're his? Pirates are known to suffer the dental ailments. Arrr.
Does he have any wooden appendages? :D

I told him that a pegleg wouldn't look good with his pink spandex outfit. But that's another story...

Actually Starburst have a lot of vitamin C.

We didn't even get the Spiderman 3 Trailer at Superman... we got one for Monster House, and that was it.
Saw it. Liked it.
No Transformers trailer- something with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher and something with Marky Mark. Oh- something with that kid from Ed and the NASCAR movie with Will Farrell.

What did the Prize Ham look like?
Not tellin. That would spoil it for the rest of you.
And who played the Pirate in the Red Scarf? Ahab? Charles Darwin? Jennifer?
I believe that was Johnny Depp. His scarf is red.

Then who was the Pirate Captain? Or the Pirate with the Accordion?
*sigh* You're just going to have to see the movie.
Or go to imdb.com.

Read the book and find out. It's in "The Pirates! In an Adventure with Ahab"
I'll have to have someone send it to me...
Saw it last night. Didn't like it very much.
It was ok but the ending was so lame I walked away thinking "I wasted two and a hours for that?"

I read a review of it that said, basically, by seeing PotC:DMC, you're committing to purchasing another movie ticket when the next one comes out. Sort of like, this one is the "Empire" of the trilogy.
*shrug*
Maybe I'll wait for the three-pack on DVD.
But Empire was magnificent on its own without the others to justify it.

Go see it yourself! Why let someone you don't know tell you how to feel about it?
Yes- it's a setup for POTC3. But that doesn't mean it isn't worth seeing.

I'm not saying that. I'm just saying, I'll wait for the DVDs. I'm not into PotC enough to spend $13 to go see it with the wife.
Big movies are better seen at least once on the big screen IMO.
Take LOTR for example. I saw the first two in the theatres, but not the third. Yeah- it was good, but it didn't have the same oomph. Go to a matinee and leave the wife with her parents.
