Title: Grey's Anatomy

Anyone else watch that?  I like it.

We watch it, and like it a lot.  I just hate that I have to watch Desperate Housewives to get there.

Housewives has declined in quality from last season.  It is getting better, but still not as good.

Last nights episode was good.  It was sad that the girl had to die.  Couldn't have they moved her back a little, cut the pole, and tried a little harder to save them both?

I've not seen it or Desparate Housewives.  But I've heard good things about Grey's Anatomy.

I enjoyed reading a number of sections from a few editions of Gray's Anatomy.

I happened to watch the end last night.  Speaking as someone who cuts pipe as part of his job, that whole thing was contrived bullshit.  If I was that girl, i would've offered to cut the damn thing myself with a hacksaw before letting those assholes leave me for dead.  And why couldn't they have cut the extra pipe behind her, then operated on her as they pulled her off as they did him?  The answer:  Contrived to create an ethical dillemna.  Bullshit.

It would really suck to be in Merideth's shoes last episode...

She had a one night stand and he ended up in the hospital cause he couldn't get it down.

Small in case someone hasn't seen it and doesn't want a spoiler.

Playing devil's advocate:  they were pressed together with no space between.  Moving even a couple of inches would have unsealed the wounds of one or both individuals; shaking it as it was cut with a hacksaw would've probably caused a lot of damage.

You may be right about cutting the extra pipe behind her and then pulling her off, but if you think about it, her chances for survival were smaller anyway; if the docs were all tired after working like crazy to save her and then had to save the dude too?  Plus, the moment either of them moved, it could have damaged the seal around the wound of the other -- didn't one of them get shifted ever-so-slightly, just enough to open the wound?

I hope that if I'm ever in that situation and there really is no way to save me (and Benny, I'm making sure they bring you in for a consult!) that I have the mental fortitude to make the sacrifice to save another.

you know what was actually a funny show about doctors, it was this sitcom on CBS, called Out of Practice.   I can't remember the last time I sat and watched a new sitcom.

I was down to 41 yesterday, and here I am at 44.  I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this dance up.

But I started at 59, so I'm making progress.  I have to walk a thin line, though, as Gamp has threatened me with locking threads to keep from enlightening them.

I knew somebody was going to die tonight.  I knew it wasn't going to be Meridith.  For a minute there I thought it might be Bailey's husband.  I'm sort of upset it was the bomb squad guy though.  He was pretty cute, and I was hoping Meridith was going to jump his bones after the whole ordeal.

I hope at least Hannah and George hook up.

Am I the only one who thinks the drama is totally contrived?

I mean, they have no problem sacrificing some woman stuck on a pipe when it's more dramatic to kill her than let her live, but they just HAVE to try to save some darwin award candidate who has live explosives in him, when it would be safer to take him out and let him blow up in a controlled fashion to save everyone else in the Hospital.  That's not to mention the poor bastard having brain surgery while his wife is in labor, all of which is added to make ridiculous people scream at every commercial break.

But, it is entertaining...sure, there are a lot of things that could be done differently, but this makes for good TV.

I think the drama on 98% of 'dramatic' tv shows is contrived.  It's like it's all the same three or fours shows, but they change one minor detail and call it a new idea.

I am going to kill Meredith.  Absolutely KILL her.
Because she is going to sleep with George?  I really want to see how that will play out.

Yes.  I know how it will play out.  Poor George.  I *heart* him too.  I just want to eat him up.

Just watched last week's -- the one with the girl who couldn't stop having spontaneous orgasms, not the one from last night.  I consider the following to no longer be a spoiler, but if a mod disagrees, smallify it.

I can't say I've been with an assload of girls, but I've never been with one who takes off my shirt BEFORE kissing me.

Which isn't to say that I'm not glad it happened.  I was kind of getting the feeling that Izzy would end up with George in a strange twist of fate, given how nice she was being to him in that episode.

And speaking of Orgasm Girl, I find it amusing how they managed to work that storyline in without telling us what the procedure was that she would be undergoing.  Most medical shows don't skimp on that stuff.

This weeks was different.

I liked it.

I won't spoil it for you...but I really liked the way they went about telling the episode.

did someone say orgasm girl??

I have a friend who has only had an orgasm from chain-sneezing.  I feel sorry for her.  I also wonder if she buys a lot of ground black pepper...

I've heard that before.  I don't recall where.

Damnit, I missed this past Sunday's episode.  Does anybody have it, or have the powers to download/send it to me?

Works for me, I don't watch this show.  But you'll have to check with Molly.

Grey's Anatomy Fans:  the show has a special two-hour episode running on Monday May 15 from 9p to 11p, and I think, but I'm not sure, that it's going to permanently move to Mondays after that.

More information as it becomes available.

(I checked ABC.com and it didn't have any info about the move, but I just saw the tail end of an ad for it on ABC.)

Meredith Grey reminds me of the psycho ex everyone has.

Though that sex scene with McDreamy was pretty hot.
