I want to get a new vacuum, but I don't want to spend a fortune on one.

Any recommendations?

I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

We have this ancient behemoth that weighs about 3000 pounds that used to be Grumpus's grandfather's.  I'm unsure of the brand, but it's orange.  I'm sure you could pick one up (well, perhaps not lift it - it's really heavy - but procure one at any rate) at a yard sale.

My wife bought the Mercedes of vacuum cleaners.

I must admit that it is a pretty damn good vacuum.

Does it work on pet hair?

Yes, very well. We also got the sweeper head that does tile and wood floors very nicely.

Jessie

I bought a vacuum at Goodwill for $4 or $5.  I can't remember the exact price.  It sucks and the brush turns.  That's good enough for me.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

That's about all I could get out of my first girlfriend, too.

No, she was just really dedicated to keeping a clean home.

My vacuum is older than I am. It's kinda turquoise and off-white.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

Gamplayerx

I don't think turquoise had even been invented yet when our vacuum cleaner was made.

We don't have a vacuum.  But my dad has a Kirby that works well.
