Brach's Strawberry Drops With Goo Inside

One of my favorite candies of all time are Brach's strawberry oval-shaped hard candies with strawberry-flavored goo inside.  Kind of like a candy version of a Halls-with-liquid-center.  They come in a foil package printed to look vaguely strawberry-ish, with a twisted-shut green foil top.

They're AWESOME.  I am to these candies what Decapodians are to anchovies.

I mentioned to this guy -- who isn't nearly that goofy-looking in person -- that I was totally surprised that he had them in his candy dish (he keeps a candy dish in the newsroom for all to peruse; one of the other reporters keeps a tub of pretzels for whomever wants them).

Today he brought me a small handful.  For this, he receives my seal of Mild Approval(tm).

Brach's doesn't have them on their website.  That makes me sad.

They taste pretty fresh.  The old ones get crusty white stuff on them, and these were shiny and pink.
